Monet (1840 - 1926) was literally the "boss" of impressionism movement in the history of art, because it was a painting he did in 1872, titled "Impression, Sunrise", which had a baffled art critic pick out the word "impression" to describe, at the time, the relatively new art trend. One of his paintings, "Effects of Sun in the Fog (Le Parlement, Effet de Brouillard)", was sold for over $20 million in 2004.
